In connection with the NPA-projects PHIVE and STRATUS and to celebrate European Heritage Days there was an event at the heritage site of Skriduklaustur on Saturday 4th September. Guests were give a guided tour around the ruins of the 16th century Augustinian monastery and they could try to step into virtual reality of the buildings onsite with Oculus goggles. 3D images of artefacts from the excavation were studied and brought to life with AR technology which was used to place the items were they might have been located 500 years ago.
